Serving Tennis has a wide-reaching schools programme that delivers a variety of opportunities to around 7000 children in over 60 local schools. Depending on the age of the children, lessons can involve anything from basic ball skills, agility and co-ordination development to more advanced tennis-specific coaching. We also have expertise in running competition / festivals and holding Continual Professional Development sessions for teachers.
Coaches operate in the Southampton, Totton / Waterside, Eastleigh / Chandlers Ford, New Forest and Romsey areas, linking with the closet Serving Tennis Facility - Totton & Eling, Fleming Park or Southampton Tennis Centre. We can also feed children into satellite coaching programmes at Waterside Tennis Club, Wellow Tennis Club or Bishopstoke Hub.
All coaches are trained to a minimum of Level 2 standard, and mostly Level 3. As standard, they are also registered with the National Governing Body (LTA) and have Enhanced CRB Disclosures. All coaches receive regular schools-specific training every half-term.
