Teaching Tennis in Local Schools

Curriculum coaching, competition and after-school clubs

Serving Tennis has a wide-reaching schools programme that delivers a variety of opportunities to around 4,000 children in 40 local schools. Depending on the age of the children, lessons can involve anything from basic ball skills, agility and co-ordination development to more advanced tennis-specific coaching. We also have expertise in running competitions / festivals and providing Continual Professional Development for teachers. All of our sessions are tailored to include elements of the National Curriculum, as well as current education trends.

We have a strong reputation within local schools, built up over a 12-year period. Recent feedback includes:

"Fabulous coaches and a pleasure to work with... Fantastic behaviour management... Great relationship wih pupils and child-friendly vocabulary."

"A great benefit to have the expertise of a professional tennis coach, rather than me reading from a plan! The tasks were differentiated; the children were always busy."

"The class thoroughly enjoyed these sessions and looked forward to them each week."

Coaches operate in the Totton / Waterside, Eastleigh / Chandlers Ford, and Southampton areas, linking with the closest Serving Tennis Facility.

All coaches are trained to a minimum of Level 2 standard, and are also registered with the National Governing Body (LTA). All coaches have Enhanced DBS Disclosures and receive regular schools-specific training.
