Serving Tennis has existed since 2004 and delivers community tennis opportunities to local people. The company's philosophy is to create thriving facilities at the heart of local communities and introduce tennis to the widest possible audience, and predominently to non-tennis players in the first instance. Facilities are generally outdoors in order to keep the cost down, but all have access to floodlights to ensure a year-round programme. Facilities link with their local Primary and Secondary schools to ensure a constant in-feed of both children and parents.
Managing Facilities & Programmes
Serving Tennis' main area of expertise is in managing & developing community tennis facilities & programmes in the Southampton, Eastleigh and New Forest areas:
- Totton & Eling Tennis Centre is an 8-outdoor-court, floodlit facility with café / bar, club shop and changing rooms. It was built as a brand new facility in November 2004 and has a membership base of around 200, with 200 children and 50 adults attending coaching groups every week
- Fleming Park Tennis Centre is an 8-outdoor-court, floodlit facility with access to 2 indoor courts and 10 badminton courts for Mini Tennis Red. It opened in April 2006 and currently has around 200 children and adults playing every week
- Southampton Tennis Centre is a 12-floodlit-court facility surrounded on all sides by green recreational space and woodland. It started in July 2009 and has around 100 children and adults playing each week

Schools Delivery & Programme Management
Serving Tennis currently delivers curriculum tennis coaching and competition to over 7000 children and over 60 schools in the areas surrounding our facilities. New Tennis Facility Consultancy / Project Management
- Over 10 years' experience of setting up new tennis facilities, including identifying and acquiring sites and obtaining planning permission
- As the management team for the purpose-built Totton & Eling Tennis Centre, we were involved in the entire "Design and Build" process and have a detailed experience of starting a new tennis centre from the concept phase
- In 2010, we successfully working with the LTA, Eastleigh Borough Council and DC Leisure to fund and construct 4 new floodlit courts, a clubhouse and a viewing gallery
- We are currently involved in various capital projects at our sites and have detailed experience of this process
- Prior to Serving Tennis' involvement, tennis operations at both Fleming Park and Southampton Sports Centre were failing badly. After 6 months of our involvement, a complete turnaround was witnessed at both facilities
